Q&A: New Charges
Question:
Why would the DA be strangey quiet? The defense attorney isnt hearing anything from the DA.
Answer:
Prosecutors generally carry heavy caseloads. Your assigned DA may simply be too busy to get back to your attorney or in a trial. If the prosecutor is bringing new charges, he/she may not say anything to your attorney until after the charges have been filed. It’s best to be patient and to stay in regular contact with your attorney. Good luck!
